Something a little different...I should add, by way of explanation, that I mainly race on the Banger servers. Only started it this morning but don't want to overwork it. Any comments would be great (as long as they're not too harsh ) Tim.

I love the mis-matched door with the |||Turbo detail. Very nice touch. Maybe try to experiment with creating a dent or two? Maybe a couple spots with some primer showing instead of paint, where dents/hole/whatever may have been covered up?

Try and see if you can get the effect of someone's name keyed into the side. Love how you did the door. makes it very believable.

Thank you both!
I was toying with the idea of primer...pity it will always be shiny in game.
Like I say it's just evolved over the day, thanks for the positive feedback and suggestions.
Tim.

Dents back from the replacement door, as in caused by the same accident, might be good? First ever scratches (Photoshop 7, 3 and 5 pixel wide light grey line with outer-bevel layer-effect)...not bad but I'll play more.

Thank you!
I've been trawling through all the 'Skinning Lab' galleries, and the quality is fantastic, I've always skinned for racing so not to fussy, designed to be seen in motion (and I hated 3DMax at uni) so it's all been very inspirational. I downloaded GonePostal's vents (amazing!) but I don't want to use them...the fun is in the process for me...I want to figure how to make my own!
Anyway rambling...sorry,
Tim.

No hadn't seen that, cheers for the heads-up, some good stuff! Thanks for the comment on the A-pillar, glaringly obvious now you've pointed it out! I'll fix that. This has been on hold for a while, too busy to focus on anything so I just did a rushed job to race on the banger servers... a bit OTT with the dents etc really: Thanks again for your comments, I will get back on this soon! Tim.

This was one of the first skins I did (before I got Pro-kit...) but I never knew where to take it, should I scrap it or add decals? Should the decals go over the stripes or not, as the contrast is so high? I think I mainly like the pallette I used but thats about it. Any advice/opinions would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and please ignore the .dds, I was messing about! (although I like the grill/bars myself) Cheers, Tim.

Still in it's conceptual stage: I plan to make a more Graffitti style name/number and change the cop-skin a bit, think I'll get rid of the bits that go over the bonnet, based them on Motorway cars but this should be more'Panda-car' I think (and they're not lined up on the wing I know . After that the whole thing needs some general grime adding ...and I must paint that spoiler support...grr!

I'm being nagged to finish this (for the banger servers as usual...) was started with the old Chromo wheel (with the dreaded shiny-spot) still found in UF1 for some strange reason?

Fancied a change from my bangers so I've been playing with metallicy style paint...is this looking anywhere near? Any tips? Man, this is hard Oh yeah, ignore the bonnet as that will be black anyway:
