Your're right, my carbon texture sucks! It sucks for skinning, otherwise it is fine. where did my CF texture go? It is still visible, not sure what's happening at your end. You will find that finer textured CF will look better in LFS than big blocky CF. LFS also puts a shine on the cars which negates the need to overdo the lighting effects on the texture. Dark textures will get a nice sheen to them by default in LFS so experiment and see what works best for you.

I find using a photoshop pattern a lot more useful, look on the Carbon Fiber tutorial in the photoshop on this site. www.thewebmachine.com/

Isn't that the bf1 carbon texture? Well, it was when it was a tiny patch of texture but I reworked into something much larger. It isn't perfect but is basically tileable vertically and horizontally, even though it is 2048 x 2048.
