this isnt the skin that MAGGOT was saying was nice, that particular skin im going to release for the next challenge if its for the right car. if it isnt, ill release it anyway. so in the mean time heres my attempt at an original ferrari skin. i modified some of the public vents posted in the custom bits, etc. thread. i tried to make it original enough to stay away from the bland JBM racing 575 GTC skins. whatdya think?

Looks great Mike. I still think you shoulda flipped the horses on the sides to face the front of the car. Also, I just noticed that the red on the side just slightl overlaps the vent. I'd move the curve forward just slightly so that it fits within the narrower part of the side, right infront of the vent.

very nice indeed. I like it and i always have loved ferrari!!
But yeah flip the horses around and see what that looks like. Other than that I think it looks very nice.

Ya Ferrari is my fav, but i tried flipping the horse around and it doesnt work in my opinion. it looks strange. the way it is arranged now, the horses back follows the curve of the red area as it arcs up. i think ill leave it as is.
*thnx to my computers tendency to screw itself, my psd didnt save properly, so i gotta redo the sponsors and the hood graphic. ill post it soon, or even the psd so u guys can play with it.

Update on Ferrari FZR skin, i added some graphical stuff to the doors, and substituted the ferrari horse on the hood for a Bridgestone logo. me thinks it looks cleaner this way. ur thoughts?

Just my personal view but I think the horses on the doors as well as the hood logo are way too large. (Maybe replace the back and front bridgestone logos to 2 smaller ones on each end) I'd put the horse back to the hood but about 50% the size it was maybe even less. The main graphical elements being the white and yellow should get more attention this way.

you know ur opinions have alot of weight, but i think im gonna go the chrysler way. that being they have a focus group, then do the exact opposite of what they like. thats how the chrysler 300 was born. that and im lazy ;D

Hahaha, yea, you ARE lazy Mike!
I just remembered something... The FZ50 GTR has no door handles. Maybe you should make some for it (something like the ones on the Aston Martin DBR9 would fit very well)
As much wieght as TeazR's opinions have (not quite as much weight as those breast implants, though ;D) I actually disagree on the horses; I think the overstated Ferrari horse is the focus, and not the yellow and white. And, as such, I think the horses are a good size. I'd add the horse back to the hood, though.
