RULES
You are allowed to start one topic only per skin. You must host the images on your own web space or free host. Do not link to files or images on RSC or LFS Files. Images should not exceed 800 X 600 pixels in size. 2 images only at a time. If you wish to update them, modify your post. If you want to show more images, create a topic in Skinners Lab section and link to it from your small topic here. No nudity, profanity, or references to extreme anti social concepts will be allowed, in other words, think of the kids that browse here please. Have some respect. When the project is finally finished, let a moderator or admin know and they can lock your WIP topic. This will prevent old skins from staying near the top of the board, making it easier for Skinners to see the most recent skins being created. Do not post abuse or negative comments in other people's topics. If you don't like what they are making, tell them how you think it could look better, or teach them a techique that will produce a better result for them. Otherwise, shut up and just laugh quietly to yourself in private, because we don't need discouraging words around here.

When you start a WIP thread wouldnt it be easier to just delete it when the skin is done as you wouldnt need any more feedback? Makes sense to me but what do I know(not a whole lot)

This is such a huge bump since the last post is from 2004 but I got to ask since I'm new.
I got a WIP that I've been working on for a while now and I'm thinking of showing it here so I can get feedback and some tips since I'm very new to skinning and it is not a lot of work done to it. So heres the question.
Should I make a "Dalarna's WIP"-thread and post my WIP and then delete it when its finished and keep filling with new WIP's or should I create one thread per WIP?

I guess one thread is enough for one person's WIPs

We used to create a new WIP thread for each WIP we posted, but the growing trend is to create one thread for all of our own WIPs.

I don't think it matters whichever way you want to do it.

Then I'll create a "Dalarna's WIP" and just keep adding projects as it comes. Thank you for the answer.

I totally agree on that one bunta, I always try to help out as much as I can as long as I know the material, I wish the LFS forum would be governed more like this one, it seems no matter how good or bad a topic is there, you always see people being negative, sometimes even a few of the mods do it too, and sets a bad example. On another note, I do have 2 questions, has anyone made template sections with the dimensions (in pixels) of each portion of the skins? lol It's because I've been resizing / cropping images to overlay on top of the skin, but if I had template plate sizes, I can eliminate the guesswork... lol the last question is about the "dds" plugin for adobe, I only have access to corel photopaint at the moment, would that plugin work for Corel as well? I know it's possible for Corel to save and export things like "psd" to adobe, I'm just not sure if adobe is compatible the same way. I'll get adobe from Demonoid.com just in case, gotta <3 the $$$ I saved by getting my proggies from there. =) Thanks

There are free tools available though, you don't need Adobe to edit DDS files. Check out our DDs thread.
