Too many buttons to press 3DS Max is quite complex, but the thing to always remember is that depending what state you have Max in, affects what tools are available to you. Pushing one button may enable a whole new set of tools, or exclude others. Once you do a lot of the same procedures over and over though you will not even think about it. It becomes easier to understand.

It was not enlarged, but it was jpg compressed, then photobucketed. Now I know I can finally do it, I'll have a go at rendering bigger, better quality ones.

This is where I am currently downloading it from. www.soft32.com/download_81704.htmlI say currently because I am on dialup and have Download Accellerator. I've been DL'ing for 2 nights now. Starting the DL at around 2am and pausing it at 6am. It stinks having dialup. At work it would take maybe 4 minutes, but they are starting to watch. I need to get in early next day I work. All the other files I am having problems finding and DL'ing. The Brazil and the CMX importer file. I have the viewer from LFS.

I want to get some white lettering onto the tyrewalls for the renders, like POTENZA or YOKOHAMA, etc. Any way of doing that via 3dmax? I've tried some post-editing work with photoshop, but its really tricky getting the lettering curve right and angles/perspectives correct.

You can make a spline of your text/design/logo and extrude and bevel it. This would give you raised lettering!

HERE ya go AL, you'll have to scale it down (using the scale tool) until it fits your tyre. Let me know how it goes, this is just a quickie.

Hmn... another way is to unwrap the sides of the tire, copy the uv wire and paint over it, then load the texture in max... that's easy... and you can use bumb maps too... but i think, buntas way is easier and quicker... ^^
