I think you need a little more contrast, it's still looking like gloss.

Cheers maggot, I'll try that. At the moment its a dark blue layer with bright pink layer over it set to 35% opacity. I wonder if I've got too much pink tho? tried to get it on all the 'upward-facing' surfaces...maybe if it was just on the actual transitions?

Found myself in an FXR a lot recently so started on a private skin for it, as usual I haven't gone for a 'race car' style...vaguely inspired by but not based on the new Challenger I don't want to overwork it, but any suggestions would be great, Cheers!

I'd add a number and maybe a small 'title sponsor.' To keep from overworking it (as in, massively race-car-ish) I'd try to add as much detail to it as possible - Tow hook/Tow hook arrows, hood pin arrows, dirt, window brackets, etc etc. That will keep it looking simple without looking in complete.

Carbon stripe details, really?! I've always liked a good orange/black theme but you lack some detail to make it look good. some side graphics definately wouldn't hurt and maybe add number and name on there along with perhaps a single sponsor.
Also I just started working on an FXR bodykit to be released in the near future. Could add some details to a skin like this.

Cheers both, yeah CF stripes made me laugh, especially as they'e just stuck on on the Challenger! might get rid on the final one as you can't really see them online anyway lol, just look grey, probably go for black...I do like my muscle cars (visually that is)
Stuff like the arrows etc would be good and I do like a bit of dirt on my cars, want to get it to 'flow' though like the Le Mans Aston I mentioned somewhere. I was thinking of a circular number plate in the middle of the bonnet (hood) with the orange gap/stripe round it...?
Still working on my RTR (Rampant Thrust Racing) logo but do you think that should be down the sides?
Never finished a non-banger skin before so really grateful for all the advice...I'll keep you posted.

cheers! Pity it's delayed now, also the limited set-up could cause problems as banger XFGs etc are tweaked to ridiculous extremes...we'll have to see I guess. (I do like the Idea of standard sets when all are racing the same cars tho)

I was tinkering about with the RB4 when (much to my own suprise, being British and not really a fan...) it started going all 'Nascar' so what the hey, figured I may as well go with it, does mean I still have about 1000 sponsors to add yet... EDIT: I know the logo on the bonnet (hood ;D ) is wonky I was torn between straight and angled and seem to have dumped it somewhere in between Think I'm going to have it at an angle so the bits of stripe visible through the 'R's are clearly seperate.
