since i've been noticing in 'post your renders' i found no pic that was capture from lfs. Just only white background.
So i start wondering that 3d rendering is for show or for use in game?
and how different between 3drender and dds editing

since i've been noticing in 'post your renders' i found no pic that was capture from lfs. Just only white background. So i start wondering that 3d rendering is for show or for use in game? and how different between 3drender and dds editing When people post a 'render', they are posting an image created from a 3D program like 3D Studio Max etc. Using a 3D model of an LFS car and a skin (image file), the 3D program renders an image which is of a high quality that is not possible to create in the game. So the rendered images you see are just for show. It would be possible for games to also create high quality 3D images, but our computers would struggle to make the game play at an acceptable speed (frame rate), so you might say that the 3D engine used in a computer game is a compromise between quality and speed. While some rendered scenes have a white background, in fact anything is possible here it's just a matter of how much time you want to spend making the background objects and textures. With a lot of 3D objects and a lot of light sources, a 3D scene could take several hours to render, or in extreme cases it could even take several days! Rendered images of 3D scenes are a cool way of presenting your LFS skins, but it will probably be many years before this level of quality will be found in 3D games. Computers will need to be much faster at processing 3D scenes than they are currently.
