in photoshop: image>image size> click "constrain proportions," enter 1024 pixels and youre done. total time: 3.8 seconds. so what is it you do that you don't have 3.8 seconds to google "resize image in photoshop" or browse the tutorial sections of the forum? researcher living on Mars? I understand it takes 40 mins for a radio transmission to get here from the red planet, and im sure there's plenty to do up there!

I use 2pic, or even MS Paintbrush, I don't have adobe, only corel for now, but in MSpaint it can be done in a few keystrokes; >"CTRL + W" to stretch/skew > use "50%" for horizontal > "tab" to jump to vertical box > use "50%" for vertical > then save it and you're ready to go
