Are the dotted lines down the sides intended to represent bamboo? A fine idea if so. Crafty I'll agree with dessib, though; it is a little low res to be used as a title sponsor on a 2048 skin I think.

Might as well release these seperately from their bodykits(click images to download). FZR custom logo XRR custom logo They're both in PSD format. Both uses shapes so their sizes can be altered without loss of quality.

I like the 'Banzai' lettering not touching the bamboo anymore, but I think the 'Tuning shop' text was better in the original layout...wouldn't really be legible as it is in second version. Personally, I preffered the stronger highlights in the first version too.
It's really close though...keep tweaking lol

This is my first go. It is an advertising company - Ad Infinitum. And do they ever pump out a lot of advertisments! EDIT: Image updated with real spelling. That's embarassing. EDIT: Layered PSD File www.mediafire.com/?mydxin5dt4wThat should be big enough right? And am I posting it in a useful manner? Should file type be different, etc? I'm new at this, and I want to make sure I put out useful, quality work. Also, on another note, if anyone decides to use this, the colors are changeable but should remain bright contrasting colors. In this way, it should be able to fit into more skins. Symbol is not necessary/ can be resized if desired. Basically if anyone uses this work in any way, I would be honored. ;D (Soon, I will start on my own skin with this as main sponsor.) Please reply with helpful feedback as to whether I can make any changes etc. (I'm sure you will- any lfs users are extremely helpful, and msz seems to be even more so.)

Just checking to make sure you spelled it right. You weren't meaning to write "infinitum" by chance were you?
Format: any format is fine, but some are more easily edited, like a layered PSD file that would allow fast changes of colour etc. This also allows transparency, which means your logo doesn't need to have a background if you don't want it to. But as a general rule, any image format is fine if it is high quality and sharp.
Tips: BMP and PNG file formats can provide higher quality than a lossy format like JPG (though file size may be larger than the jgp).
Vector formats like AI, CDR, SVG etc, are best of all but will not be suitable for the majority of users since they usually don't have the software to handle these formats properly. One semi-exception would be the EPS file. Like the vector formats mentioned above, EPS file are fully scalable without loss of quality. In other words, an eps file can be opened at the desired size (or resized in real time if you have the right software) without losing the quality of the image. This is very useful for skinners because they can have many different sized versions of the logo all over the car and they will all be as good in quality as the original is.

As Bunta says, something which supports transparencies will work best (PSD, EPS, PNG, etc).
I'd stay away from BMP as this does not support transparency (AFAIK) and results in a massive file-size. PNG is pretty good for posting on forums as an image (I've used it for all the headers in my garage, for instance, and the file-size is smaller than a jpg! ...That reminds me, though.. I still need to fix my links...). I'd recommend either a PSD or a PNG, with a transparent background. A PSD will be easier to recolour (if you have all the colours on a separate layer) but a PNG will be much smaller in filesize. Also, EPS is another option, but for a proper one I believe you'll have to create it in a vector program like Illustrator or Corel.

Thanks for the explanation Bunta and Maggot. That helped me out a lot. And yeah, I did spell it wrong Bunta. It is now changed. Thanks for that catch. The funny thing is I checked it three times to make sure it was right, and still missed it. Hopefully, not many people looked at this page and laughed at me.

Thanks for the explanation Bunta and Maggot. That helped me out a lot. You're welcome! That's why this forum exists. That's why I don't bother to proof-read my college papers; I won't catch the errors the first time, or the second, and I know I'll get bored of reading my dribble before I ever make it to the third try.
