FXR Pro Kit is now available. Thanks to those who tested, especially Pipi who spotted some things early on that I had missed. There may be small issues, please report them.
You can expect some minor bleeding around some edges of the kanards (those winglet things sticking out the sides of the spoiler). I spent a long time trying to improve them but it just isn't possible. It won't get too much better than this. I suggest that if you are a fussy skinner that you don't paint the kanards or that you at least avoid heavy contrasts.
Due to the 2-piece hood I was not able to offer a satisfactory carbon fiber hood with this Pro Kit. Instead you will find a carbon fiber wing blade and two hood intake optional layers. Let me explain those a little...
It is difficult to apply a perfect mask for the hood intakes because their edges curve and it is easy to get a jagged edge due to jpg compression/skin stretching. I have made these quite accurately but only as far as to avoid that horrible jagged effect from ruining the component. If you find them unsatisfactory (they look fine to me) I have also included a neat trim to go over the top of the intake mask which will tidy up that edge nicely and allow for another colour to be used around your intakes.
There are two side mirror layers, I have experimented with the mirror stems, now a little about those....
The mapping of the mirror stem causes a small stripe on the underside of the mirror head. No matter how I tried to accept this it just looked odd every time. So I have faded the stems near the head which will lessen the naughty stripe quite significantly. If you don't like the fade effect on your mirror stems simply don't use them. The stems are an experiment and I recieved enough feedback to prompt me to leave them in the kit. For now at least they can stay.
An optional roof layer is included but not needed unless you want your roof to be a different colour than the rest of the body. I buried it on one of the lower layers so that it wouldn't be over-used
This car doesn't have seperate mapping for the spoiler, so I have done it for you, on its own layer too.
This kit was very difficult due to some mapping issues which are out of my control. I have done the best I can I think and spent many hours trying to get those small details right. Although I am not totally satisfied with this kit I still think it is probably the best one around at the moment.
Enjoy.
