You're a little skinning machine... But it doesn't matter if you continue to create good skins... ^^

Very nice skins. I was wondering if you customed those decals or if you had a decal pack? I'm guessing you made em.

Oh my God! Forgive me that I am registered almost a month here and I only visited your garage today Al! Reviewed all pages and looking at the each masterpiece I was just speechless. Except revmonkeys' prayer, which made me laffin' here so loud that my wife came to silence me so I don't wake up our lil son ;D . At 1st pages I was trying to remember my favorite skins you made, but now I'm lost. So just let me tell you that the metallic look is my dream too, and I must say that you are damn far in your discovery! Loving it!
(and a little selfish remark at the bottom line: now your compliments to my crappy 5 minutes job in my garage got the brand new meaning. I should print your post and stick it on the wall behind my monitor. Thank you, honestly.)

Gab: Most of mt decals are from websites like brandsoftheworld.com, in eps format. Others are thanks to Bunta, the decal king. ray: thanks for your kind words! I'm pleased you like the work so much, nice to hear such praise. Here is anbother search for a chrome and steel skin FOX skin, the screenshot is not really showing the effect as well as the cmx viewer, unfortunately.

Here's the skin, give it a go in the viewer (or in-game) let me know what you think I tried this skin in the viewer, and I think that the noise works great, so does the faked lighting (or metallic shine), just one part is kind of wrong - around weider logo. These chromic reflections are too strong to fool the human eye I think. Couldn't try ingame, but eventhough on tracks are many vertical contrasts to reflect like this, once the car turns (and faked reflection obviously not), the trick is busted. I tend to believe that we only have to stick with horizontal gradients. LOL sorry for my kickass English, I hope you know what i mean

Here's a nostalgic little UFR skin, not great, took 12 minutes, but it means a lot to me. It was the first ever skin I did for the Mini Cooper challenge Mod I did for EA's F1 game, based on Stecki's excellent 3D model. He sent me an identical design at the same time I did this one, it's a replica of Tamiya's radio control mini cooper montecarlo rally car, which I have sitting in a garage cupboard awaiting repair. I thought it fitted the UFR nicely, so did a simple port over from the original mini skin in the F1 mod. Nice to see the mod is still going strong and being ported over to GTR now, 2 years or so after I first released the original, way back before I got into LFS.
