on my quest for a half-decent skin i have come up with several 'designs' of which this one here is the only i dare showing to the public.... while not being the worst out there, it's still nothing i'm too happy with. so pleeease make suggestions on what's wrong with it it somehow lacks the "I'm a racecar with an aweful lot of bhp"-feel imho

really nice skin I think and I especially like the "black caps" over the lights. really changes the look of the frontcar in a decent way. nice one

Only thing slightly bothering me is the side decals. Try rotating them to match the angle of the cars sidepanels. I think it's about 3 degrees or so.. And maybe fit the castrol logo on to the door. Nice work otherwise.

members.chello.at/zerodexter/XRR_ZD3.jpgin this version I rotated the side decals 1° (according to wireframe of the great template you're offering here ) and moved them to the middle of the door. thx for the advice more suggestions please! after all I'm here to learn e.g. the green is too dark I think. but on the other hand I like how the white castrol logo stands out from the dark color....

If I was Intel I should want to be the logo have more contrast... it's almost unreadable and I don't pay lots of €/$ to be hardly readable Maybe change the base color to a lighter color? the blue is nice.

Some colours are hard to work with unless there is a clear contrast with another colour(s). Blue is one of those difficult colours. Put it with another blue or grey, or other colour from that spectrum, and details become hard to define. Light blues work best with dark contrasting colours, dark blues work well with light contrasting colours. All colours work with white.
If you must use two colours that don't contrast well then try to make your decals and other details stand out to give the skin more substance and character.
