That skin surely is nice. Wasn't there a black version of that somewhere? That would be something to try as a variation. Ah, I think you're right! I'm all over that - stay tuned! LOL |

i know your not a fan of fake lights but what if you textured it so the lights on the back are surrounded, to make them look more like supra taillights?

You're right, but I'm not a fan of trying to make these cars look like something they're not. Within reason, you can pull some of that stuff off but my Astra that I just completed really needs a grille but I know it's the difference between it looking fake or acceptable. The car that would benefit from the Castrol skin above all of them would be the RB4 but until it's considered a finished model, I'll skip it. |

It is pointless trying too hard to make an LFS car look like a particular real car. Despite apparent similarities with real models the differences in the key areas are too great. Some of the "signature" elements of any make or model are usually grille and lights (front and rear). These are the things that are hardest to fake in LFS, mainly due to their shape and position. I've seen some talented skinners try to make an RB4 look like a Supra but the results are always less than satisfactory even though it seems like it would be a fairly basic task. It's quite hard to do a convincing fake. In my opinion it is best to concentrate on fitting the livery to the LFS car (make a great skin) than to try to nudge the LFS car towards something it isn't. This skin is a perfect example, and the result is better than the real thing.

That's fantastic!! isn't is based on the "limited edition" black 7 speed Supra from the original Gran Turismo game?
I have downloaded this, and am presuming that it is public, hopefully there's no problem with me using it?

I have downloaded this, and am presuming that it is public, hopefully there's no problem with me using it? Thanks. It's actually based on a few images I found on the internet. I was fortunate enough to get front and back images but I didn't like the door panel areas and some decals I just couldn't find so I did my own thing there. All of my skins are public so please, by all means use it! |

This skin is based on the 1991 787 Mazda race car. It's a Le Mans style car so the skin isn't exactly made for saloon cars so skinning this was interesting. The white dotted lines took a long time to get lined up and I had to use some pretty interesting techniques to get them half way acceptable.  Get the Skin HERE |
