Allrighty, first of all, a big 'thank you' to all the people providing help, providing scenes and models, and to put it short, dedicating their efforts to the community. As I can, at this very minute, only take but have nothing in return to offer, I thought I would let you have at least some impressions from my skinning tries. Next problem -> I can't get that bigrender thing to work, so my renders are limited to the poorly 512 resolution. Sadly, but I haven't figured out yet how to change this situation. Allright then, let me show what has been done so far. Bye, Hux

1. FZ50 GTRMy favourite car if we talk about design, but a beast to drive, so as the beginner I am, I stopped driving this car after my first skin. The skin was for testing purposes, learning how skins are done and keeping it very basic for the point of layout. Ah, yes, right, I still have problems with the scene lighting, but guess that doesn't matter much on this picture size.

It's neat and I like it, although to really judge any skin I'd need to see it in game to be sure that it doesn't suffer from pixel bleed, or aspect ratio issues. Renders are a great way to showcase your stuff, viewer/game shots are a better way to prove you've really hit the mark...

2. XRR "Ringtaxi"This was a really fast produced skin, took about 1 hour incl. googling for some original shots. The idea was to add decals as seen on the BMW M5 Ringtaxi, which is a pretty fast car you can rent including a driver. He (or even she) will shoot you around the german Nürburgring Nordschleife, which should be well-known name for everyone into racing. I was in need of an XRR skin as I switched from FZR to XRR. The FXR would have looked much more like a BMW, so I just tried to get the design adapted. Pictures from the Ringtaxi can be found at www.m-forum.de/gallery/album12And this is what the XRR looks like: The skin has some small errors, also the "g" at the side skirt looks a bit misplaced even after resizing the lower part quite a lot. Guess I will fix this some day.

Looking forward to see your skin be public. Good works there.

4. XFG "Commodore"Realized I need some more practice in basic driving skills, so... there was a real need for a XFG skin. I just thought about my early computer days... with my C64, so it was time for such a skin. Thanks to Ian for his race number plate, just didn't have the original font. At least there is now the "82", which is the year Commodore released the C64. This one is available for public use as long as it is kept as it is (means no modifying). Please let me know if you find errors so I can change that with my next revisit... XFG Commodore, ver1.0, 1024*1024XFG Commodore, ver1.0, 2048*2048

Very old skool Regarding your FXR, personally I think you can get away with tribals and curves/stripes...perhaps you could stick some curved shapes onto the sides underneath the tribals and see how it looks. As for the ring taxi, well Sabine could drive me anywhere in that any time.... Anyways...nice stuff, keep on truckin!
