Smashing! I've never seen this scheme replicated on this car before, so it is definately a change! Great work

Here's one more story about taking requests. I get a pm, asking about a skin. Request was well written, team seemed respectable said they like to race the FOX especially on Blackwood. Normally I avoid request, but this one seemed ok, and it was only one car anyway so I said ok. After the first version, I get the new info as a reply that the team changed name from X to Y, and that contrary to original color request I should change color A to B. I said ok, team name was not hard to change, neither was color. Then comes another reply, the skin is too simple. In the original request I was asked to make something simple like most of my non-replica skins tend to be. Hence, I avoided using complex shapes and zillion logos. I replied that I can't change the design anymore, ater all I worked on it from the beginning on as being simple and effective. So I said I'm sorry but I can't really change things anymore. Meanwhile, it turned out that the team had already skins, not one but several versions. Something I wasn't informed about, I thought they had no skin and were needing one. At the end, the original person who requested the skin from me, informed me kindly that he left the team, and that the team is gonna stick to the old skin... Lucky for me that I didn't make them a logo (which was also part of the request) but just spelled out the team name on the skin. So in no time I removed the team name, and transformed it into a public version. I can't say I'm sad about the team not going to use the skin, since I rather make it public for more people to enjoy. +1 story why you should NOT take requests for strangers, unless you are 100% sure it is a serious team, who will use your work, or will compensate you for the effort. Anyway, here's the skin, I decide to call it Blackwood, because I placed a BW text on the bottom side of the rear wing, as I thought it would be a good touch for the team since they said they enjoy BW. Fox BlackwoodDownload Skin!

That's a beauty!
And your story is a prime example of why I do not do requests.

Thanks for the comments guys. About the request, I actually didn't waste my time or so with making the skin itself, because I knew I can convert it to a public version in no time. However I thought that it's an interesting story and I decided to share it so you always keep in mind to handle requests carefully. Think about if you spend hours on designing a logo saying team X, and the next pm you get is sorry we changed our name to Y. Or if you make a complex scheme then people tell you "erm yeah, we want different colors". You'd be wasting countless hours of work for nothing. And once you've done all this, either the team stops existing, or decide to use some other skin, or god knows what else. Caution!

Hi. Thank you pdanev for not mentioning names but I was the person who requested the skin. I just want to apologize to pdanev and to any people that may legitamately request a skin and have to deal with doubt instilled in the master-skinnerz here due to false requests. What happened was that I was initially a loner but then I got invited to join a group of two people in a mini team wanting to grow. Both were my friends so I asked pdanev to make a skin since I thought his style would fit what we would need in a team skin. This is not to say I don't like the other skinnerz; I think you're all highly skilled, it just happened that I felt pdanev would do a good job with the task presented, and he did. Then someone from another team got some of our friends to join and I didnn't want to join, but my friends did so I went with them. By now, pdanev had made this skin which would have fit the old team perfectly. This is when I asked for a name change and a color change. This is where I am at fault for not thinking it through. I didn't want to join the team initially and since they were all in different time zones, I never raced with them, so I should have foreseen that. I apologize to any legitimate teams that may request skins, and most sincerely to pdanev. I really did like the skin and it is my fault for not seeing that I wouldn't stay with the new team, although I couldn't predict that they would disband and join a different team. Sorry. Btw, to all the people that think teenagers can't write normally, I'm 17, so don't say all teenagers can't type using good grammer.

Well, as I said earlier, and to you as well, I don't really consider this as a waste of time, because one more public skin doesn't hurt anyone. I just thought it might be a good story for the others to read, so that they can avoid stupid situations like this. Ah well, let's not go OT anymore with this, I think everyone understands the bottom line. Apologies accepted, no worries. Time or effort has not been wasted, so no problem.

Excellent once again. I actually like the way you managed to get around the rear wheel arch with the Sonax logo Looks good.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that. That was quite a big dilemma, do I keep it on the wheel arch and make it stretch badly or do I shift it up cutting parts of it...

It works. So many times you can make a sponsor larger, even if you have to cut off a little, it still reads correctly... as long as it's legible, it works. and in my opinion, when the viewers eye 'fills in the gaps' a little, it adds a bit more interest! nice job
