Yes I did, lol. Do you happen to have AIM, or something along the lines? It makes it alot easier to talk about this than taking up bandwith on the forums.
Bunta, here are the specs I know how to receive, I don't how how to find out my video settings.
256mb RAM 1.30GHz Total HD Space:35gB Space Left: 19.0gB
Don't know if I've said this before, but when I try and open CMX viewer, it says "Cannot Initialize Graphics."
I think your PC is good enough not to lag as much as it is apparently doing. But you will need a photoshop user to tell you how to improve Photoshop's performance.
As for the CMX viewer, I would try a different video driver first. You haven't stated what video card you are using though.

When your system does not have enough RAM to perform an operation, Photoshop and ImageReady use a proprietary virtual memory technology, also called scratch disks. A scratch disk is any drive or a partition of a drive with free memory. By default, Photoshop and ImageReady use the hard drive that the operating system is installed on as its primary scratch disk.
You can change the primary scratch disk and, in Photoshop, designate a second, third, or fourth scratch disk to be used when the primary disk is full. Your primary scratch disk should be your fastest hard disk, and should have plenty of defragmented space available.
The following guidelines can help you assign scratch disks: * For best performance, scratch disks should be on a different drive than any large files you are editing. * Scratch disks should be on a different drive than the one used for virtual memory. * Scratch disks should be on a local drive. That is, they should not be accessed over a network. * Scratch disks should be conventional (non-removable) media. * Raid disks/disk arrays are good choices for dedicated scratch disk volumes. * Drives with scratch disks should be defragmented regularly.
To change the scratch disk assignment:
1. Choose Edit > Preferences > Plug-Ins & Scratch Disks. 2. Do one of the following: * (Photoshop) Choose the desired disks from the menus. You can assign up to four scratch disks of any size your file system supports. Photoshop lets you create up to 200 GB of scratch disk space using those scratch disks. * (ImageReady) Choose a primary scratch disk. 3. Click OK. 4. Restart Photoshop or ImageReady for the change to take effect.
2, Adjusting Memory & Image Cache. Can also be found under preferences.
I doubt these will do magic, but maybe worth a shot if you are out of options.
Which version of PS are you using? Any chance it's CS2? If so, you might wanna try CS, that uses much less resources and can do pretty much the same as CS2, except a couple of minor things and filters such as vanishing point etc, but you don't need those for making skins.

To find your video settings - right click on your desktop go to Properties > settings > advanced.
In previous versions of LFS the CMX viewer would not intialise if the executable file [icon] for it was in the same folder as the excutable file for LFS itself. I do not know it that issue has been resolved.
If you have both programs un-rared in the same folder then make a new sub folder and put the CMX viewer in it.
I think that problem was fixed, IIRC Mike uses the cmx viewer right from the LFS viewer (lazy bugger doesn't wanna have to copy the skin files into the LFS folder after having them in the viewer skins folder. LOL)

I don't have LFS on this PC, as it doesn't work, lol. I skin on a completely different PC than what I play on.
My Video settings. Intel(R) 82810 Driver. Memory Size: 4mB.
It's been a while, but I seem to recall the 810 chipset features: The video has 4MB (or 8MB in later revisions) on board and uses up to 64MB of system RAM as well for video. So there's the problem and I don't think there is really anything you can do about it to be honest.
every day I talk to my machines, more sense than talkin' to human beings
Yup, you're right. The Intel 810 chipset is onboard video and typically doesn't have an AGP slot for a video card. It sounds to me as though you don't have enough video memory to run the CMX viewer on that P.C. The obvious suggestion is to run it on your gaming machine
I would, if it wasn't my mom's computer, lol. She doesn't know LFS is on that PC either, so yeah, lol. No Photoshop either, as the Photoshop I have isn't exactly, uhm, well, legal.
New skin though, based on Gerhard Berger's 1994 F1 Ferrari.
I realize theres an issue with the "Magnetti Marelli" decal on the nose, but i I am too lazy to fix, lol.
Here's an Alesi Version. Save as: FOX_Ferrari94 Alesi: FOX_Ferrari94Alesi

tis true, i just made a new LFS folder, and extracted both the game and the viewer to it. works like a charm.
and as for the 810 chipset, ur pretty much out of luck. i use the 910/915 and i sometimes had trouble as it was. what i did was double the RAM to 1 point something GB
I see no one cares about that one, lol. So, for the next, the Pilot car for the "Pro-Celebrity Toyota Celica XFG Challenge," or, the "Celica Challenge" for short. Some rules will need to be ironed out before posting the idea. The power behind all this is the mighty Toyota Celica XFG hatchback, to be raced by twenty(hopefully) individuals, 16 "Celebrities" and four "Pro's," to race around the various LFS circuits, 10 laps a race, two races a round. All cars share the same graphics scheme, but come in 5 different colour combinations. Black body with blue and Silver graphics, Blue body with lime and silver graphics, Silver body with purple and black graphics, and white body with burgundy and black graphics, and the reserved "Pro" car, red body, with yellow and silver graphics.
Here is how mine will look, You would be free to choose any number and colour scheme you want, but I would hope to not see all of the same ones. Mine is the Black body with blue/silver graphics, as you can see. My trademark number, 64, and the correct name placement on the vehicle. I think putting our real names will give a more realistic feel to it, rather then a game, lol. You put your first and last names on the rear quarter panels, and roof leading edge, and your last name on the rear bumper cover. Numbers go diagonally between the two graphics colours on the sides(I know it goes through the black rubstrip, oh well.), one in the centre of the bonnet, and one on the hatch, that hatch number being the smallest. Without further adieu, here is my #64 Toyota Celica XFG!
Please comment!
Thanks, Matt.
PS - Side and roof names are in "Veranda" font, size 8, bold and italicized. Bumper name is in "Veranda" font, size 12-15, bold and italicized. Number font is called "Bitsumishi" and is available at www.dafont.com. I believe the side and bonnet font is size 40 for that font, and the rear hatch number is size 20.
Bunta: If I can revive any of our own links I will, but I can't do much about what others have posted But I found a link you were looking for, check your last post.
