While browsing through a backup folder I realized I did some skins in the past I didn't post yet. I did the BF1 over 12 months ago (it has the LFS UK Kart Meeting 2012 as a sponsor so go figure ) and the XRRs were done in or around January 2013 IIRC. And since it's been a while since I posted something here and I do quite like the skins I thought I'd show them here. Fun fact: the design of the BF1 is based on the Team GB jerseys during the Olympics A few months ago I had some brief moments of a) inspiration b) motivation and c) time so I did some rFactor skins for a buddy of mine. I quite like skinning "real" cars (as in nonfictional) and it was really fun getting back to do some liveries. I tried something new on every car, so even the skins are for the same team they don't have much in common. As you might see the Porsche is based on Ken Block's Ford. I quite like the design (not a big fan of the driver though) and wanted to port it over on the Porsche. It's not a 100% replica because the shape is quite different and I had to incorporate Epic Racing's sponsors. The Formula 2 car is NOT based on the McLaren, though I admit it looks a lot like it. I was just messing around with rFactor's chrome effect. And while I was at it I also did a new video of the first car, the 458. Videos for the other two designs were planned but I didn't have the time to finish them yet (and the seasons are almost over, so maybe they will never see the light of day) (the flash effects at the end were added in in post production and took the longest to get right XD)So yeah, looking forward to your feedback and hope to get back to skin soon (although it is unlikely :/) |
