Had a little bit of time today, thought I'd get a skin under way. This was inspired by a Porsche I've got a picture of on my computer, but when finished will probably not resemble it at all. I haven't done an FZR in a long long while, so I figured it was about time to get one done. I'm thinking I might plaster the big 'V' on the rear haunches and possibly bring some of the design from the hood into that area of the car as well. Any other ideas/opinions/criticism? The pic also has a little teaser of a scheme I finished up yesterday. Many many hours of work (mostly trying things that I didn't like) and I am so so happy with how it turned out. That will be released next time I go home (might not be for 2 weeks, though) so I can use my gaming rig to get a purdy in-game screeny to release it with. It will be accompanied by a logo pack of the sponsor for that car. Anyways.. enough ramblings. I need to grab a couple beers and go watch the Grey Cup. Ryan

im feeling the skin.. and the sceme.. me personaly i think if u took the strips on the hood followed them up the roof and down the back would really make the whole car SCREAM attention.. maybe even bring the V onto the back and put the VOLante logo on top of the trunk..

That teaser pic is VERY intrigueing (sp?) mate.
I like the Volante car, just needs an element along the sides and then some sponsor decals. I think you are on the right track with your first sentance below the image in your post up there.

It looks good MAGGOT. But you'd want to fix the rear white line so it runs excactly on the split between trunk and fender.
It would also be good if you tried to re-use the yellow/orange lines from the hood on the roof and let it end on the top of the trunk.
Also I can only agree with vilante on the sides. It needs something to make it less "dull" on those sides.

Thanks for the input guys. I had originally continued the lines across the top, but it was too... 'standard' a design. I wanted something a little more modern. The sides definitely need something. I've got something in mind, so we'll so how it turns out. Might work on it now, during class depending on the topic today. Oh yes, daloonie, I was hoping no one would notice the white on the back there. lol I noticed that after I posted the screeny, it will get fixed. Thanks guys. Might have a new shot for you soon. Ryan
