You know guys, it would be really nice to improve my skins as well as my skills, but if no one tells me what should be changed in them I cannot progress....I can't read minds, so thats why I think at least someone tell me yuor oppinion about them... My opinion about your police skins will not be of any use to you, but for what it's worth: don't make police skins. Not that there is anything wrong with your work, I just don't see any point to making police cars for a racing game. Your other skin seems to suffer from being either too low in resolution, or too much compression used. The patterns look fuzzy. The skin might also benefit from some stretching compensation, especially at the front of the car. Unless you post the actual skin itself, I can only guess as to what is causing the fuzzy outlines. Screen shots don't tell the whole story. Your screen shots also suffer from a lack of anti-aliasing, which is why you can see jagged edges. Anti-aliasing can be switched on in your video card properties. I would recommend at least a level of 2X anti-aliasing to improve the quality of the images. Apart from posting the actual skin file, you should specify what software you have used to make the skins. Other members who use the same software might be able to offer specific tips and solutions.

well, I was bored had nothing to do and I made a skin with the first thing that got into my head, police skin, I guess u are right, no one needs a police skin in this game, but anyway... I've been using Adobe Photoshop CS, and here's the skin file i166.photobucket.com/albums/u103/balteanuster/XRT_Lines_Stripes.jpg, I'll see what I can do to make it more clear, but I'm not that good at skining so I don't know what I'll manage to do..

I'll see what I can do to make it more clear, but I'm not that good at skining so I don't know what I'll manage to do.. Our site and forum exists purely to help people such as yourself to improve their skin-making skills so that they can create higher quality work. If you keep making skins you will improve, I guarantee it. We have many members who use Photoshop, so I am confident that you will find new ways of using that software by reading existing topics, especially in our Photoshop section. Knowledge of what your software can do will help to free your creative potential. If you continue to make skins your knowledge of your software will grow rapidly as you strive to turn your ideas into reality.

try sketching your design first. if you suck at drawing cars, print off a few side profiles of what ever car youre using, then sketch over that. they always tell us in my program to design it first, then take it to photoshop. its the whole limiting your creativity thing
