No. Bikes are dumb IMHO. And you can simulate them even harder than cars. How yre you gonna drive? How are you gonna know when will the tyre start slipping under braking (that means you fall) and stuff like that.

As for simulating them, well, ask scawen, he's the one coding them into LFS already, and guess what, scawen also owns a dumb bike. I rekon his simulation for bikes, will be 10x better then what he's done with cars, simply because he's a bike rider IRL. He has real experience of pushing a bike to its limits.

He also has a force feedback joystick, if I recall, which is what you would need to appreciate an LFS bike sim. Bikes were a very early idea in LFS but there is no certainty that they will ever be a part of it. It would be nice though I guess, because to date nobody has made a proper bike sim.

Already seen this, im a member on CGtalk.com, so is lhnova. Lots of talented people on Cgtalk, i suggest you all go visit, and be amazed at the skill most of those people have. Thanks for the joystick info bunta, i'll have to get me one of those, if its needed. Wont a joypad work though, like a ps2 type? The only real bike type controller i've seen is the thrustmaster one..

If you want to feel the tyre physics and enjoy LFS as it is meant to be then FFB would be needed, yes. A joypad is not very useful because you want to be able to lean your bike and hold it at the desired angle. Joypads that are digital are no good of course, and analogue joypads are too insensitive and have a tiny range. Keyboard is out of the question. Anyways O/T.

I just don't like motorbikes. I like the ordinary bikes though (the pedal powah ones :>)

I also do not believe that there is a way to properly simulate a Bike physically, also there is no proper input device for it (except for some arcade racing cockpits i've seen). On the other hand I think that we need one good simulation to get the reckless gsxr-kids off the street... one of them died recently in my town after riding 120mph inner city and jumping over a car.

Are you telling porkies or what? Sounds a little OTT to me.. Either way, he deserved to die if he pulled a stupid stunt like that. Theres a time and place for speeding/stunting, and its not where all these dipsh!t "stuntaaazzz" do it.

Cagers? And i think he didn't mean to jump over the car. THe speed made that (he couldn't stop :>)

Cagers are the car drivers in motorcycle language.
