I really should know the answer to this question, but Im not sure an wanna ask cause I know some1 here knows, "are there any blueprints of the LFS cars, like just black and white technical drawings?" I just modeled my first car in Maya(its supposed to be an RX-8) an really wanna make more, the LFS cars would be awsome to try. Im really weary of posting a pic of my model cause theres so much wrong with it(smoothing killed me, stuff got messed up real bad, looks like it was beat with a hammer) but Im happy enough with it(after a few more little tweaks) to wanna try another car(BMW M5). So if any1 knows holla plz. p.s plz go easy on me but lemme know what ya thing o` ma car, or give suggestions.

oh boy, if this is done from scratch, then wow - really great! Sure not perfect, but a lot of work I guess. Looks nice. Oh and let me know when u start the BMW, excited about that. Perhaps you can asks the devs in the official Forum to get those Blueprint. Otherwise Bunta released some really great Skinkits, including a wireframe layer - should be also useful

Yeah this was done from scratch, hopefully Ive learned enough from this project to get the BMW looking better than this 1. Ill try the devs, see if they got any pics, the wireframe would be useful but then the model is all mapped out for me, id rather do it myself with just outline drawings so I can learn modeling cars abit more. I guess I could just bring the skin file into photoshop and try to make an outline.

Nice work Strahd! One day I might finish my Fiat Just a thought.. have you considered taking a template file and just editing out the wires leaving just the outline? Wouldn't even have to be perfect.. could be tiny "bits of line" left connected to the outline.. but it'd only take 5 mins to paint over the main wires. I used this method when replicating a few cars from GeneRally in 3DS as there's no way to import. I used the small GR car editing tool (basic modeler) and took screenshots of the viewports.. removed the wires and mounted on a box the same as any other.. results: Heh Regards, Ian

I have your solution, staring me right in the face all along. In the viewer you can get shots of the car front back side and top. There's your blueprint.

Well my car is done, only a few days left to school so this 1`s a wrap. Started work on a skyline the other day, but when I try and smooth the normals it gets all messed up and smoothing it is even worse than that, but its cool, i didnt really want to do it, was just the only blueprint I had at the time, now I got lots. May try that M3 or 328i now. Anyway heres a pic of my Rx-8 again plz be nice, its my first car for scratch, and Maya dont like me that much(dash is real bad, couple of boxes basically with rx-8 guages posted on)

Dunno if you know about this site strahd, but if you want a load of good blueprints for different cars, www.smcars.net/ is the place you wanna be at. Nice car, i prefer the wheels on the first pic though..
