To start off, no this isn't a thread giving Tips and Help, it's the opposite I'm asking for them.
I'm currently a beginner to using GIMP and I'm also quite new to skinning.
I used to use Paint-shop Pro 7 but i lost my copy of it and I'm resorting to GIMP for the time being.
Basically what I'm asking is for any Tips on skinning in GIMP.
Thanks to anyone who decides to help out and if you need anything in return let me know and ill see what i can do.

Good thing to do is start with GIMP's own tutorials on getting started with GIMP: www.gimp.org/tutorials/Use GIMP to open PSD files: registry.gimp.org/node/2011 - Good for using the MSz skinning kits. Also JazzOn made a quite good tutorial/explanation of the stretching of skins and how to get around it: www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=64975 - be mindful of this when placing logos on your skins. The advanced stuff is just like learning Paint Shop or Photoshop. Learning by doing.
