I don't think the problem with the helmet is the number of polies, but the way the polies are organized. I'd much prefer a poly setup like you see in F1C (I'd also like it to be mapped in a similar fassion). However, If you do do a helmet pro kit, I'd be happy to do up a higher res version of the template I made a while back. I'll have to re-make all the details, but now I know exactly how I'll make them. Great work, and thanks for all the effort man. I know how much the thanks matter, and how few of them there is . Well here is a quick kit for the Helmet. I won't call it a "Pro Kit" as it really isn't anything special, so I'm calling it "Advanced Kit". Please note that even though this kit produces helmet skins at 2048 x 2048 pixels, ideally you should resize down to 256 x 256! go for 512 x 512 if you want detail, but anything bigger than that just for a small area like a helmet is really a bit silly. The last thing you need is a 1MB skin wrapped around your scone. I don't plan on releasing this kit, it will only be available in this topic. Please report any issues and I will fix them if I have time.

so there isn't have an fxo kit yet Just for you I started the FXO today. The wireframe is about one third complete (see below). I'll finish it when I finish it. I'll need to give my rsi a rest soon. The red areas represent the completed work.

Nope, Bunta just said he's working on an UFS Pro kit and IIRC you went all mad over it (didn't expect it) but then Bunta seemeed to correct himself. Looks like he made a typo in the first post or he misunderstood you. I just quoted the UFR Pro bit.

Well here is a UF1 Pro Kit. I have tested it but there may be small issues so I'll post it here for testing before comitting it to the web page. I have given a few options but there's not much to be done with this kit. Most layers are optional so use your imagination I guess. No CF hood once more due to the split mapping of the hood section.

Nice work on the UF1 mate. Now for the requests The MRT, I wouldn't mind seeing a kit for this as we race it a fair bit on the Pro Racing Room, so making up some nice team skins for it would be great. Hehehe it's easy to make requests keep up the good work Bunta.

Hi people, is there any RB4 Pro kit? ;D The RB4, the UFR and the LX models are not yet final in LFS and until Eric finishes them we can't be sure exactly what they will look like or how the skins will be mapped. For those who have some spare time please try this test only version of the [url=http://www.niw-files.com/FXO_Pro-Kit.rar[/url] (2.1MB). If there are no problems with it I will release it. Please report problems here with this kit. This kit is completely untested.

As far as I can see, this kit looks fine to me. I like to make some very tribal looking patterns on my car, so having textures that line up is Paramount for me. I may have missed something that someone else may pick up with some other textures, but otherwise everything lines up correctly as far as I can see. Keep up the good work mate! MRT time? *nudge, nudge, heheheh

I completed the MRT kit yesterday, but I need to play with it a bit to see if I can add some value. The wireframe didn't take so long this time as there is not much bodywork on the MRT at all.
Thanks to Andylec for sending me updated wireframe data. The old MRT data was made before Andy and I improved both of our processes and was not suitable for making a high quality kit.
I will probably move on to the RAC next, the XRG is already underway. I have no plans yet to attack the RB4 or LX cars. I am still uncertain as to when these cars will be finalised by the devs. The UFR is also in limbo but I might do a kit anyway, if I find the time.

Wonderful news about the MRT Bunta.
I had made myself a team skin for the MRT but the left side of the car has that air intake and thus causes some serious lining up issues with the patterns I am using for the texture.
It seems ok after a few hours or trial and error, but the wireframe will prove most useful as per usual.
