Man, you wanna talk about wasting two days on something! Well here's something I've put together as a replacement for that aweful default caliper skin. I tried a few things here like actual images of calipers and they all looked bogus in the end so I made these instead. Rediculously over-sized for in-game use but they are primarily intended for rendering purposes. Use them in combination with the rotors posted by Destroem in THIS THREAD and you'll have yourself a smokin' set of dappy new brakes! ;D The philosophy here is to put detail as and where you can - most of which you'll probably hardly ever see but it'll make the difference in renders where you CAN see them. I'll offer these in a variety of colors and formats in the next couple of days so just bear with me.

You said you were going to offer a variety of colours but I don't recall you posting them.

yo guys, I got a problem regarding the brake padsz.dds Ive downloaded the padsz.dds file created by zed28. The problem is, I wanted to use the yellow pads and replace it in the dds folder but, while in-game the pad is in red color. Tried change the padsz.dds to the blue and it turn out to be black with yellow brembo font.
What is the real problem? :/

These are really great textures zed! congrats sir I'll certainly be adopting these for some future renders when using the original meshes farique: AFAIK.. they won't work ingame properly as at a guess, they're not used as diffuse maps ingame. LFS automagically applies a red colour to the calipers which I'd suggest is the reason as to you seeing unexpected colours (the ingame textures are probably bumpmaps with vertex colouring.. but just guessing). Regards, Ian

Doh, just noticed with these that they are reversed on the right side of the car. Only way around this I think is to have a reversed set for the other side of the car - which would be applying a seperate texture to the right side callipers.
Remember, we're only really talking about using them in a rendering environment.

Kinda lost some screen shots in my site update so here's a new one. Excuse the fact that I have a $500,000 car on two cheesy scissor jacks but Bunta never returned my axle stands!
