SKIN PONG
How it works:
1. I post up a starter skin as a layered psd file.
2. You add a comment on the thread to claim the next round - so we don't have 5 people all working on the same round.
3. Download the psd file from the link and add your contribution to the skin. This can be as much or as little as you want. Add a couple of decals, a design, some stripes, a fade gradient, a metal panel, a carbon fibre hood, it's up to you.
4. save the psd, preserving the layers - obviously if you have added 10 new layers than can be merged together to limit file size to a reasonable level, then please merge them.
5. post a 512 image of the skin on the board thread, with a link to the new psd file, for the next person to claim.
6. We'll run each game till we think it's done, then we'll post the result and start a new game with a different skin.
Guidelines
Just common sense really, it's meant to be a fun community effort, so don't add too much to your layer.
Skin size to be kept at 1024 to keep file size reasonable.
Don't add anything to the skin that any other member of the LFS community would consider offensive.
Any breach of common sense will have the round deleted and re-opened at the previous stage.
If you claim the skin for a round, try to have your layer done and reposted within 1 or 2 days max, so we keep the flow going.
We want to get as many people contributing as possible, but if there are no takers, then a previous contributor is free to claim the skin for another round.
Please don't obliterate any layers or detailing from another player. Contribute, add, amend if you want, but keep it constructive rather than destructive.
Have fun, be creative and watch what grows.
Test round: I've started an XFR. Download the psd file, add a bit, post a link and a 512 screenshot for the next person.
Skin size limited to 1024 otherwise its going to be a big download after more layers are added.
Who wants to go next? First reply gets it.
