Yep. ID can be applied to just about anything, though. Both Mike and I will be specialising in Automotive Design within the Industrial Design program

what kind of pay does that make? I'm trying to find an appropriate career choice and I have to find something that makes money. I'm married and my wfe is a stay-at-home-mom.

Depends on how good you are In North America, the average for a Product Designer is somewhere around $60 000. Of course, Industrial Design is such a varied field, wages can range anywhere from $20 000 for entry positions to, well, anything really. Chief designers for car companies usually make six figures. Of course, getting into Automotive design is like getting into the NHL. Getting there is a massive achievement, staying there a greater one; dominating there is near impossible.

Yeah that's what I thought. I work for Halliburton and their entry level job (mine) brings 40K a year. and it'll be less than a year and I'll probably be making 60K,before job promotions. ;D I want a design degree under my belt and I'm gonna look into one once I'm a little more settled into my job. I just want it for the knowlege really. It'd be really cool developing the cars of tomorrow, though...
You and mike going to school in the same place or something? you seem to know each-other well.

Yea, we're both at the same college.. er, will be. again. I was there last year in another course (1-year) and we lived on the same floor in residence. I unfortunately got extremely sick at the start of the second semester, and essentially missed a third of the semester causing me to fail three classes. Now that those have all been made up, I'm on track to be back in September to begin the ID course. Can't wait to get back there, I miss the place and the college lifestyle

Are those rims hand rendered, or solidworks renders like the Ferrari you did last week?
