Yeah I'm trying very hard not to follow traditional flame liveries here. I started with a simple idea and realised that there was some potential if I could only make the flames look right. I'm quite happy with the result. You'll be happy to know that the bonnet or roof have no flames. ;D

Here's an update on the bonnet. Taking care not to let the flame graphic dominate the whole area. Using the flames to "frame" the bonnet, leaving room for other stuff (or not) in the middle.
I have used a Carbon Fiber texture but placed a semi-transparent colour overlay on top going from full colour at the front and fading to transparency towards the back (of the bonnet). This should give me a nice textured background from the CF without making it a dominant component of the skin.

I'm going to need to make two versions of this skin because both race and "show" versions are fighting for my attention and I can't decide which way to go, which is nice for a change.

I made it from the one found in LFS. It is quite high-res though so you might have to size it down to get the right density of the CF weave.
