Well - It starts ;D

GonePostal's work on those excellent new templates has prompted me to get back into skinning . . .
So to begin I've done a new skin for me

for my favorite car . . .

and here is the skin

The name comes from the use of an inverted colour scale (Blues - Oranges) . . Number is from my fave cartoon as a kid 'SPEED RACER' - it rocked! (and I just bought the set on DVD ;D)

Well I am really in 2 minds about this one. Firstly, its a lot of really good and clean, intricate work, attention to detail with decals, and gradients and shading. Despite all that I think its a little too much to work as a good design, just too busy. If you took half the stuff off it would be twice as effective. Don't want to be negative about it as I can see all the good work thats gone into it. I just don't think it all pulls together in the sdame direction, which is what is needed for a great design.
