Hi guys. I'm new here, and new to skinning too. Have had Photoshop for a while, but didn't know how to work it well.

I'm catching on slowly but I'm no Al Heeley!

Anyway, first up in my Garage/Showroom is my ongoing 'Guinness Collection'. My objective is to have all the cars painted up in this same general look.

The skins are quite simple because I don't yet have the talent to do fancy lines and patterns but then again simplicity seems to work well with these skins.

Good start! Guiness makes for a nice livery. Try to avoid placing the decals and logos where they can get cut off by the bodywork sections, such as the arthur guinness signature on the fo8 - very tricky skin to get the texture wrapping right on the rear engine cover, and the XF car, where the harp has been cut in two.
You need to resize and realign them so this cutting off doesn't happen, makes the skin look tons better!

Al: Thanks for the advice. I knew right away that the signature on the engine cover of the F08 didn't look good. I'm still deciding what to do about that.

TeazR: I like the metallic skins too. I wish I could find metallic layers for more cars but the only 2 I found were for F08 and FZR.
