Not bad for a first skin. But a few tips are IMHO neccesary. First if all, try making your skins at 1024x1024, some members are experimenting on 2048x2048 to get the extra detail (remember, the same sized square that would use 1 pixel (1x1) on a 512x512 skin, takes up 4 pixels (2x2) on a 1024x1024 skin and 16!! on 2048x2048 (4x4 pixels) skins). And the hood on XR cars kind of ends right between the lights, it's tricky to get it spot on but with a few helpful tools and the right programs (skin kits, read here: skinnerz.proboards26.com/index.cgi?board=FAQ&action=display&thread=1120022687 , as for the programs, Adobe Photoshop is widely used here, there are also paint Shop Pro users, some also use Illustrator and Corel Draw and there are people that use a combination of the above programs). But not bad for a first time. Oh, and that Alpine logo which i presume should go on the roof, just misses it. You'll have to move it to the right to fit on the roof. A very good program for viewing the skin is LFS Viewer. Because to see it in the game, you must restart the game itself to view any changes. The viewer does it realtime!. MS paint has no potential. if you want to make good skins, you dont use, simple as that.
it might seem pointless for you now to get a better program to make skins, but if you wish to continue skinning in the future, it is a GREAT investment to get something like Photoshop or Fireworks.

I agree. MS paint is not worth the trouble. I have seen a few skins made with Paint that were really quite good, but you can always tell that MS Paint was used, such is the quality of the tool.
