Hi all, Anyone have an idea what the 2 stickers are in the image below? I've scaled one up slightly while trying to retain _some_ of the lines before total pixelation but I don't recognise either. Both are off of a DTM looking M3. Just these 2 parts to finish off my latest skin =) TIA. Regards, Ian

One on the left is the ALMS logo... can't tell what the other is... (?) Thanks GP =) Funnily enough, I saw that one a couple of hours ago when they were showing some more highlights of this years Le Man on TV. I'm not sure what the one on the right is still either although looking at it, it appears it maybe a Le Man style car (Audi R8 type) and the red / orange being like a "heat trail" either on the track or just behind (as an effect) and the blue / white being the wall. Still don't recognise it however, heh =) Regards, Ian

Do you know which car and driver it is? Maybe some better shots can be found?

Do you know which car and driver it is? Maybe some better shots can be found? heh.. I should have just posted the whole image =) It's an M3 driven by a german dude (I'm guessing).. whole car below. and my adaptation so far: This skin's a little different for me.. third FXO skin ever done (gawd I hate that car!) and I'm not normally one for sticking on imaginary bits and pieces (grilles / scoops / vents et al) but felt I had to add them on this else the skin would have appeared "unfinished" and maybe a little "rushed". Anyways.. with the mentions of scoops and vents, I'd like to thank GonePostal for a most excellent vent / scoop pack! A little resizing and I think the ones chosen on this skin fit pretty closely to the original ones. Great work there sir! =) Also thanks to Al for the bonnet pins that are available in his great skinkit pack! =) Thanks again for the help people =D Regards, Ian

I actually found the ALMS logo on BrandsoftheWorld as an EPS but no luck with the other, so many thanks for this =)

Thanks again GP =) Well I finished it.. waiting for approval on LFS-Files. Fair amount of work went into this in the end to get it looking "spot on"(ish). Some slight personalised alterations for LFS (seeing as the FXO isn't a BMW and all that) such as some of the logos and the front and rear badges =) Final look... A few more from a couple of other angles also at dsrc.digiserv.net/gallery.phpRegards, Ian

not too shabby at all. Couple things I'd change:
1. the LFS performance parts decal would look better if it didn't overlap the moulding.
2. the GT class image overlapping the the door/fender
3. the lighter checkers on the rear bumper don't stand out against the silver/gray base color. Maybe a subtle outline of the same dark blue that coats the rear quarter

Hi GP.. not too shabby at all. Couple things I'd change: 1. the LFS performance parts decal would look better if it didn't overlap the moulding. 2. the GT class image overlapping the the door/fender 3. the lighter checkers on the rear bumper don't stand out against the silver/gray base color. Maybe a subtle outline of the same dark blue that coats the rear quarter ~GP Thanks for your comments =) #1 & 2: This was done semi-deliberately although this side-on shot isn't really the best angle. Until now, any skins I had done were pretty much "neat and tidy". I'd resized logos etc to fit nicely within the flat area of the motor it was being applied to. I decided to go the opposite route this time and just let things be. I've seen it on a few cars (BTCC has some like this) and although I didn't deliberately place it on the moulding, I didn't specifically move it from that location either. I'll have a nudge about with it though and see what looks ultimately best. Unfortunately, the space behind the front arch and door is quite a bit less than on the beema, although I could maybe nudge it upwards too (so the top was flush with the top of the number) as I left the side grille out as I thought it'd look a bit crap with an indicator stuck in the middle of it =) You're right about #3 for sure. The 2 images I was using to begin with (right up until I asked for help recognising the 2 stickers) below showed the blue kind of pale but I think it's too pale compared to the white paint version: si007 already commented on LFS-FIles that he thought the silver made it look rather dull compared to the white version. I found the lighting in the 2-lane drag strip to be much brighter while looking for some screenshots than other tracks inwhich the silver appeared almost white in some angles.. but I'm also using a bright sky mod so it may appear different with the default LFS daylight sky texture. I'm going to change the colour from silver to white and take a few more shots to see if it does improve the look of the skin by brightening it up a little. I'll also take your comments into consideration and have a look there too. I like the overall design of this livery.. would be nice to get things looking "100%" =D Regards, Ian

Hey Ian,
Very nice looking skin job m8, I think it looks good silver or white;]
I have $0.02 worth of opinion also, in case you're interested;]
Basically, make the skin fit the car your putting it on not the one your taking it off.
Imagine it was you who designed the paintjob & decals for the BMW and now the client is asking for the same treatment for their FXO. You're not going to try to make the FXO look like the BMW, obviously, you're just gonna make 'em look like teammates ;] Personally, I think the same logic holds true here. GL ;] hooligun.
