Wondering if there'd be any interest in some LFS templates that are setup like the Nascar 2003 templates that Brian Simpson made? Basically this would be built around the wireframe layer that BigShox has on his temps, a mask below that revealing only paintable areas, includes transparent shading, and layers of parts and detail components (fuel doors, fasteners, scoops, etc.). Here's the skin file for the last FXO I did, which I built that style of template out of: All the components are layered. The shading is on it's own, the body lines, the various detail parts, as well as other parts that I didn't use on this particular car. I also have one 90% done for the RB4 as well: Including things like wheels and windows helps visualize the car in my opinion... (well... for me anyway). If there IS some interest, I can try to pursue building a series of them for community use. ~GP[MCO]

They look absolutely superb.
I would love to have the kind of templates you describe as I believe studying/analysing them would teach me a great deal.
Hope you decide to release them.

YeeHaw! Posty's at it again! You made some of the best templates for NR2003 (as I have told you numerous times:P) and now LFS I'd love to have these templates If I can help in any way lemme know and I'll see what I can do MAGGOT [EDIT] One more thing, any chance in getting metallic layers like the ones in NR2003? Those'd be a very welcomed addition aswell! And I share you guys' sentiments with S2 - Can't friggin wait!

Thanks all. Ok, I'll finish off the line and release them then. The 2 cars above are done, (RB4 and FXO). The XR GT-T is done and I have to make some minor adjustments to fit it to the XR-GT and that will be done as well. The GTI is about 95% done, just have to do some shaded layers. The MRT is just about done. For that one, I have all the front cowl body lines and openings for the suspension done and lined up, mirror mount brackets and a stainless panel on the intake like in the real car... looks much improved, although not sure about that shiny metal in the intake... ehhhh. If I could get some more detailed reference pics that'd be good. The metallic layers would be a lotta work, was never really good at them. Brian's ones for Nascar kicked ass. Once I get these out I can see what I can do though. I have an idea or two. Hope to have the temps released in a pack and seperately this week or by this weekend. Also compiling parts and new vents and such for a scoopPak 2. Should contain fuel fillers, hood pins, body clamps, fasteners, and more vents and intakes. No ETA on that though. ~GP
