Hello, I am Making a skin and i was wondering if it would be right to do a 2 tone car but only the tones be in a diffrent place for an example: if i had a green skin and the right front was dark blue would it be ok to make the left back dark blue? or would that be just plum stupid?

One of my first skins was like that. The effect can be great, but choose your colours carefully. You can use decals, symbols, patterns or numbers to overlap the different coloured sections. Perhaps use your idea as the skin's background, and build a theme over the top. You can reuse those main colours on other parts of the skin to keep the theme balanced.
Don't be afraid to try a few things until you get what you like. If you get ideas along the way, write them down, they may be useful on your next skin.

Unless you are using Microsoft Paint, your program should be able to make patterns. If you are using MS Paint, don't.
