when you are workng on the skin it is in flat form.. In the game it is as an acual car ... so I guess I need to know how to do a screen capture of a game replay or somthing

There are several options, in that case.
Just go into the game (single player), load your skin and drive to a nice place for a screenshot. Pause the game. *SHIFT +U activates user cam, spacebar hides the controls. Make sure the sun is hitting the side of the car that you are facing, for best resolution of detail.
Hit the Print Screen key on your keyboard (located to the right of F12 key). Now the screen capture is pasted to windows clipboard. You can't see it, but it is saved in memory. Open your graphics or paint program and use the paste command (ctrl +v) to paste the clipboard contents into a new document. Your screenshot will appear. You can edit as you wish and save as a jpg file.
Rather than start LFS you could go to the LFS web site and download the CMX Viewer which is a program that allows you to view a skin without launching LFS. Just use the same method (Print Sceen Key).
You can also download a shareware version of FRAPS which is a utility to take screenshots or record movies within games. FRAPS will automatically make a BMP file for you when you press the hot key. Open the BMP file in your chosen paint program and save or export as a jpg to reduce file size.

Thank's for your help.... that has worked. How can I now get it uploaded so other people on here can see it? I know it's not brilliant and not a true race car skin but at least it's original ;D

Thank's for that.. now let's see if I've done it right??? Think that's it... now just have to learn to drive it properly ;D ;D Think perhaps I need to resize the image. What's the best size to post?
