Hi, I have a question regarding the stretching of fonts. As in the pictures i attached, the first '17' is the standard font but when i like to change the font to apply to the other side of the car i had to make it lean towards the rear end of the car. The way it is now the 7 is kind of stretched. Is there any war i can correct this? I used Corel. Thanks in advance. Default font leaning twds the rear of the car. The modified 17 in order to make it lean twds the back.

First of all, notice how the entire skin is stretched along the length of the texture (left to right). One way to correct this is to stretch the blank skin to a res of 1280 x 1024, then apply all of your decals and text before returning the size to 1024 x 1024. This is quite easy to do in Corel. Some small areas cause a little more stretching (bumbers) but in general the above method works very well.
Now when you reverse the angle of text a lot of issues are raised. The entire font needs to be remade for a correct effect. You can use the skew function but I doubt you will be happy with the result. Right click and convert to curves then drag groups of nodes in the direction you wish until the result is satisfactory. A lot of work to do for this effect.
Use your first "17" as a guide so the same angle is maintained.

The only way to get a nice reverse skew from a font is to use a non-skewed font. If the font is skewed in it's design, it will look odd in the other direction.. Also, 7's tend to look odd anyways when skewed
