Is there a program that lets you see the skin on a car without having to load it into the lfs skins folder and not have to be an expert in 3DstudioMAX. Thanks Nolan Update: I read some mention of CMX Viewer. Where can I get use of it? Again, Thanks

Ok, Got the CMX Viewer running and have read all the *.txt files but I have yet to see where to put the jpg skin pics so the viewer will show them. I guess what I'm saying is .... is there a guide to help old geezzzers like me? ;D BTW, The Grey Fox, that Freeman Porsche - Gecko Concepts car is AWESOME! Makes a nice Wallpaper in my Webshots Desktop program.

I just unziped it to a new "LFS_VIEWER_S2N_ALPHA" folder in my LFS working folder. It does have the data\skins folder but all it has is the FOX_DEFAULTS, RAC_DEFAULTS,... etc. When I put the custom named ones in there with the defaults, run the VIEWER_S2.exe, and "Load CMX" I see only the default cars listed. GUESS WHAT!!! I was messing around with it while typing this and I found that by clicking the "DEFAULT" name it opens up the other list with the new images. Go figure. Sure hope this helps some other newbies too. Thanks again to you for your help. I think I'll be ok for a little while now. Going to add the order of actions for others to try.
CMX Viewer - Put your skins in the "C:\LFS_VIEWER_S2N_ALPHA\data\skins" folder - Open the program - Click "Load CMX" upper left corner - Select a car from list on the right - on the upper left again, click on the "DEFAULT" and select the skin from the NEW list on the right.

yes it works a bit like LFS itself. You need to select a new skin to replace the default. Also you can use the spacebar to hide the controls for cleaner screenshots.

I was wondering why when I tabbed back and fourth from Photoshop to the viewer that sometimes I would loose my controls! I just exited and went back in and chalked it down to "WTF!" LOL Oh and nmanley, it's good to see another old fart on here! You still have seniority over me but not by that much! ;D
