OK, I think I understand what you're saying. and Im doing that, but the bodyline doesnt go through the door. I was doing body lines aort of like the Corvette. (see below), so the shading only goes over the logos at the front and rear, where the body lines currently are.

Some people have expressed an interest in my shadows, bodylines, etc for the FOX, so I'm releasing my 'shadowkit' for it. It consists of a Photoshop file, with two layers. One layer for the shadows, one for the highlights. Both layers should be transparent already, and can be plopped on top of any FOX skin you have so the bodylines go on top of your decals/paint, etc... I use photoshop cs2 for saving the final file, and an initial test with another member brought up an error when his version of photoshop loaded the file, but it was not a fatal error, and everything loaded just fine despite the error. In any event, if you can't get it to work, please don't ask me about it, because i am not a regular photoshop user, nor am i any kind of photoshop guru. The kit includes bodylines, 'bolt holes', shadows for suspension and slight shadowing under the nose, fuel cell on the left side, carbon fiber section on monococque (near sidepods), some ductwork and sidepod vents. For best results, this should be used on top of the standard lfs shading template. Link to shadowkit: Fox_ShadowKit.zip (WinZIP compressed) 783k

You're just whippin 'em out now! Very nice, top notch and all that stuff. Someone really has to come up with a new congradulatory remark or praise, we're wearing out all the old ones on this forum.

Looking great mate. Only prob I see is the LFS name text interfering with the Quaker State logo and the fuel filler I think we need to make a new thread where we can make up new words for skin appreciation. Words like Beautitastic or Superlicious - lol

Well the main reason for those last two, is because the paint was identical (sans the coloring). Plus I saw the ai skin pack needed some FO8's. In any event, I'll gt back to xrr soon enough. thanks for the comments... I know the feeling re: the compliments. No real need for em, since I run into the same problem when I comment on everyone elses threads.
RE: quaker state and name conflict. I just decided long ago not to bother running a name on the side of the open wheelers. It makes the skin look ebtter without having a big honkin secondary sponsor sized name on the side of the car. I just figure anyone can add their name smaller somewhere like the real life counterparts.

I had thought of something regarding that which I forgot to post a while ago; If you look in the dds folder of the CMW viewer, you should find a file for the license plates. If you edit the alpha channel so that it is all black (complete pitch black, but I'm sure you know how to edit alphas ) then you will no longer have the "LFS S2" text in the viewer displayed on the cars. Speaking of which, I should go do this to my viewer file as I do the same thing as you, Rob... heh heh
