Learning from my 1st experience, but still without realizing there were wireframes I could use, I developed this Discovery Channel Rally theme. Theres a clean version as well (all of the mud is on it's own layer), but I prefer the dirty one. Skin files: LoRes | HiRes

OK, so this guy on the LFS forum asks for the blue angels scheme... I happen to have done a job using the logos before, so I jump at the chance to try out an open wheel car skin. It is at this point that I realize there are wireframes available (ding ding) and I finally start to really tinker. The FOX chassis is pretty bland, so I played around with a fuel cell/buckeye, body clips, etc... The skin is NOT available, as I've left it up to the driver as to whether he wants it to be made public or not. Turns out, that someone else went and started the skin while i had been doing mine. and ultimately, we all sort of conglomerated our ideas into my design.

When I first got into racing (around 1994), I happend to notice a really cool Baby Blue (Whodve thunk baby blue could look so good?) racecar driving in the Toyota Atlantics series. For whatever reason, Jacques Villeneuve became my first official favorite racer... turns out, that he was a pretty good choice, as he progressed to indycar, and then F1 (winning championships in both). After tinkering with the Blue-Angels design, I figured the Players car from days of old would be a good try... I spent countless hours trying ductwork, and really going all out on the clips and body mouldings. I did everything I could try to make it look more like the original 95 reynard. But now that the body template is done, subsequent players designs (as other late 90's reynard/lolas) should be a snap. Thanks... Unfortunately I have only gotten 93 miles in on the s2 servers because I spend most of my time skinning! lol I have the same problem. I can't seem to do a decent lap anymore. I'm so out of racing shape with all this skinning

That's one of the reasons for my lack of new skins recently; I'm trying to get back into racing! LOL Tremendous work in here, Rob. I look forward to your future projects

I'm assuming youve got all the details done in layers; so do you plan on other schemes from that chassis? I smell a mini Indycar Champsionship in the FOX hehe You already know what I think of it

Yes. I use coreldraw pretty much exclusively, and it's much like illustrator. Wireframe, Body template/shading, decals, and paint are all on separate layers. I'm debating trying Gil Deferran's Valvoline ride (with all the V's splashed on the nose)... Looking through all my indycar books and racer mags, there are ALOT of cars Ive forgotten about lol... But seriously, Im going to try to spend some time driving now... Ive yet to complete the training on LFS and I'd really like to get that done soon but Im only about half way so far! Of course, I spent the majority of today playing with Greg Moore's 1999 entry. So here it is. Car: Skin Files: LoRes | HiRes

It's good to see a fellow Corel Draw skinner on Master Skinnerz. Keep up the great work.
